Ingredients
Kakdi (¼” cubes) – ½ cup
Tomato(½” cubes) – ¼ cup
Carrot (grated) – ¼ cup
Coriander Leaves – 1 TBS
Green Chili (fine chop) – ¼ tsp
Salt – ¾ tsp
Sugar – 1½ tsp
Rosted jeera Powder – ½ tsp
Roasted black pepper powder – ¼ tsp
Curd – 2 cups
Water – ¼ cup
Yield – ¾ liter

Process
- Wash all the vegetables.
- Peel kakdi cut into ¼ inch cubes or alternately grate.
- Peel wash and grate the carrot.
- Chop tomato to ¼ inch cubes.
- Chop chili to fine rounds.
- Chop fresh coriander leaves (medium fine).
- Roast cumin and black pepper, cool and grind them to powder. Add all this into a mixing bowl or container (stainless steel or glass).
- Add the all the remaining ingredients and stir well. Raita is ready.
- Goes well with Biryani. Can be served with any North Indian Meal.
