Ingredients

(for 10 persons)

Gajar (Carrots) – 1 kg

Mawa (Solid condensed milk) – 250 g

Milk – 500 ml

Sugar – 250 g

Badam (Almonds) – 25 g

Kaju (Cashews) – 50 g

Ghee – 100 ml

Ealichi(Cardamom) Powder – ½ tsp

 

Process

  • Grate the carrots after peeling and washing.
  • Boil the milk in a heavy bottom pan. Add grated carrots to the milk and continue to cook till all the milk dries away.
  • Add sugar and continue to cook till all the water dries away.
  • Add ghee, cashews and almonds and continue to cook for another few minutes.
  • Add Cardamom Powder. Halwa is ready to be offered to Krishna.
