Ingredients

Udad dal – 1 cup

Chana dal – 1 cup

Dry Red Chili – 1 cup

Hing – 1¾ tsp

Til Seeds – 3 TBS

Jaggery – 5 g

Salt – 2¼ tsp

Til oil – 2 tsp

Yield 1.00 cup

 

Process

  • Roast urad dal, chana dal, red chili, hing and til seeds one after other individually.
  • Mix all with jaggery and salt. Grind the mixture to a coarse powder.
  • Heat til oil to 60 or 70o, cool
  • Serve the powder with til oil.
  • Goes well with idlis.
